Overview – Experienced hands-on marketing/public relations/communications/management professional with broad experience in corporate, trade association, public sector programming, and professional sports environments.

Published author and copywriter with an extensive, varied portfolio. Editor of a variety of publications focusing on both technical and non-technical subject matter.

Currently an independent software and website developer DBA the PMA Technology Group located in Mesquite, Texas.

PMA creates proprietary software for corporate clients and retail products targeted at small businesses using the latest Microsoft technology and older Microsoft development tools.

Current retail products include PMA Small Business ServiceCenter - a customer management application and O'Brien QuickLoads Pro - a residential and light commercial heat load calculation program used by HVAC contractors. Proprietary Applications include FirstCo Coil Calculations - a fan coil sizing and selection program used primarily by HVAC engineers and FirstCo Sales Quotations - a quote generation application used by the company's marketing department in generating nearly 10,000 quotes annually.

PMA was an early adopter of web technology and in 1997-1998 produced of one of the first magazine-format websites on the Internet. PMA specializes in developing sophisticated, SQL Server database-driven websites written in Asp.Net.

The organization focuses on building long term relationships with a limited number of clients for whom it provides a high level of personalized service.

Previous positions:

Executive Director, International Mobile Air Conditioning Association - an international trade association representing the automotive air conditioning industry from offices in Carrollton, Texas. Responsible for all association operations including marketing, public relations, lobbying, organization of trade shows and meetings, publications, and member services. Restored the association to a position of industry leadership following a long period of decline. Previously served as the organization's Managing Director as noted below.

Marketing Manager, Genelco, Inc. - a manufacturer of electronic products including optical liquid level sensors, regulation mandated underground storage tank leak detection systems, and automotive air conditioner controls located in Dallas, Texas. Responsible for development of the company’s marketing strategies, advertising and public relations, publications, and technical training. Served a a consultant to the company for several years prior to becoming a full-time staff member. 

Engineering Manager, Draf Industries, Inc. - a manufacturer of automotive air conditioning service tools and equipment located in Bedford Hills, New York. Responsible for management of the company’s engineering functions including development of the industry's first refrigerant recycling system available as a retail product, technical publications, public relations, trade show presence, and training/technical support activities. Author of a best-selling automotive air conditioning service manual marketed by Draf. Served as a consultant to the company after resigning to accept the above position. 

Managing Director, Mobile Air Conditioning Society – an industry trade association representing members of the automotive air conditioning service industry from offices in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Participated in the founding of the organization. Responsible for all association operations including marketing, public relations, lobbying, organization of trade shows and meetings, publications, and member services.

Managing Director, International Mobile Air Conditioning Association during the period in which it operated out of offices in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Responsible for all association operations including marketing, public relations, lobbying, organization of trade shows and meetings, publications, and member services. Later returned to the organization as Executive Director as noted above.

Public Relations Account Executive, Spiro and Associates - a large, full-service advertising agency located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Primary account responsibility was to serve as the lead PR staffer for Pennsylvania’s state-funded commemoration of the U.S. Bicentennial, which won the Public Relations Society of America’s top award for public sector programming on two occasions along with numerous other awards. Additional responsibilities included serving as PR counsel to Altair Airlines – a Philadelphia-based commuter airline, Subaru of America, Inc. – importer of Subaru cars, the National Archery Championship competition held in Valley Forge, PA, and the Philadelphia Bar Association.

Advertising and Publicity Manager, Pocono International Raceway located Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountain resort region. Participated in all aspects of the development of the multi-purpose facility which culminated with the presentation of the East’s first 500 mile superspeedway races for Indianapolis cars and Late Model Stock cars.

Sports Editor, Times-News - a daily newspaper serving readers in Carbon County Pennsylvania.
